Ok, so a couple weeks ago (or has it been more like 3? I've lost track!!) hubby had that ummm appointment I'd mentioned. Well...he's low and they're not exactly sure why. So that dr sent him to an urologist to see if there's a medical reason for the levels he tested at.
This last week he went to the urologist and they found an infection (UT) he didn't realize he had. Lord knows how long he's had it, and no it's not of the contagious sort. The urologist has put him on Ciprofloxacin at a dosage of 2 times daily for 30 days. HUH? *clicks link* Since when does it take a month to get rid of a UT? *sigh*
Anyhow, once he's gone through all the meds.... he needs to go back in for another "donation" and see where it all stands. The urologist did say that he was NOT infertile. That's a good thing! However, if he's still low...we'll need some help. The urologist seemed to think our problem was more than likely a timing issue or possibly me. This means hubby and I need to discuss what needs to happen next. If he says that I need to test, just to be sure, then that will be the next step. If he says he doesn't want to worry yet and wants to just keep tryin... well, I done told him he better plan on getting busy every other day for a month to make sure it aint a timing issue (no chance of missing then). If THAT don't work, then I can only suspect that I'm the defective party.... and I'm not sure how I feel about that. Kinda like the guys not wanting to know their swimmers are defective, last thing I wanna hear is that the oven's broken (or we're outta eggs)and there aint a damn thing that can be done about it. And before any suggestions come in how "there are other options", no there aren't. If insurance won't cover it, it won't be happening and we certainly don't have the extra to be going through an adoption process.

Here's to clearing up the infection and a higher swimmer count! Hun, I am keeping you in my prayers that you start getting some happy news on this long journey. Huge Hugs.
My ant just told me that the reason he was put on Cipro for the 30 days was because of the unknown length he's had the infection. Want to be really sure he gets rid of it.
I hope his swimmer count goes back up once the infection is gone. Are you sure you don't want to really tire him out and demand every day attention? LOL
I can only imagine how frustrating this must be. Keeping you in my thoughts and hope this all clears up soon!
Oh and I'm totally with ChicagoLady there ;)
I'm gonna recommend every 8 hours...for at least 30 days... and I don't mean the mediciene..
:)
Good luck! *hugs*
(too often usually makes for less swimmers to start swimming)
Hope things sort themselves out when his infection clears up. *Hugs*
So, I'm assuming hubby got rid of his UT infection? Has he been re-tested yet?
